The Philadelphia Eagles are, once again, one of the biggest winners of the offseason.
They managed to keep some of their key free agents, all while adding plenty of elite talent in the NFL Draft and securing a long-term contract extension with their franchise quarterback.
GM Howie Roseman has made a name for himself over the past couple of seasons as one of the best executives in the league, with fans and media alike praising him.
Recently, NFL insider Peter Schrager implied that some executives around the NFL are getting annoyed at how much praise Roseman is getting.
Some ‘context’ on this… for lack of a better word…the execs were commenting on the media love the Eagles’ draft was receiving over the course of the three days; not Howie Roseman, personally. That wasn’t the intention of the throwaway anecdote. Alas… https://t.co/jdl91OFkdd

That’s why he took to Twitter to clear the air and state that his sources actually said that other executives were commenting on how the Eagles — not Roseman — have been portrayed by the media.
Truth be told, the Eagles have been one of the best-run teams in the league for the past couple of years.
Roseman turned them from a borderline playoff team into arguably the biggest powerhouse in the NFC, and they’re coming off a Super Bowl trip.
Also, unlike other teams, the Eagles can afford to add some high-risk/high-reward kind of talents, such as Jalen Carter, because they already have a strong championship-caliber core.
We should give credit where it’s due, and there are reasons why the media praise him the way they do.
So, if other executives are jealous or annoyed, maybe they should try and take a page out of Howie Roseman’s book and start making some big moves.
