The National Football League is an offensive-driven league now more than ever.
The rules favor the passing game, the quarterbacks are getting the most money, and everybody wants to see big gains and explosive plays on almost every single snap.
With that in mind, PFF ranked their top-8 WRs poised to have a bigger role next season, and the list includes some shocking names.

They start things off with the New York Giants’ Isaiah Hodgins, who might be more involved in the passing game if they fail to bring Saquon Barkley back due to his contract dispute, as they may not rely on the rushing offense as often as they did last season.
Then, Skyy Moore could be heavily involved in the Kansas City passing game after JuJu Smith-Schuster’s departure, and he might as well be locked in as the No. 2 weapon behind Travis Kelce.
Treylon Burks had a solid season in Tennessee as the No. 1 target without A.J. Brown, and he should be poised for a bigger workload in 2023, especially if Derrick Henry is on the trade block again.
Elijah Moore will have plenty of work on the slot now that Deshaun Watson is going to be throwing him the football, as he’s drawn rave reviews during Cleveland Browns offseason workouts.
The New Orleans Saints will now have Rashid Shaheed as their No. 3 guy with no Jarvis Landry in sight, and Michael Thomas is always an injury risk.
Likewise, the Buffalo Bills could look to feed Deonte Harty early and often, especially with all the uncertainty around Stefon Diggs.
PFF also chose Calvin Ridley, and that’s not much of a surprise, given that he’ll get to play his first season with Trevor Lawrence, and he should be the best pass-catcher in Jacksonville.
Last but not least, they chose Garrett Wilson, which is pretty much self-explanatory with Aaron Rodgers taking over Zach Wilson as his QB.
