The Denver Broncos haven’t named Bo Nix as their starting quarterback yet, but it seems like they’re just delaying the inevitable.

Nix entered the league with mixed reviews.

There was some good, some bad, and some ugly during his days at Auburn, and even though he looked significantly better in Oregon, some still had doubts about him.

However, so far, he’s been perhaps the most consistent and impressive rookie quarterback through two weeks of the preseason.

As a matter of fact, PFF gave him the highest grade for a rookie quarterback in Week 2, grading him with an 85.8

Nix was sharp, calm, and in control of the offense in the 27-2 win over the Green Bay Packers.

He finished the night with eight completions on nine passes for 80 yards and one touchdown.

He also scrambled three times for an additional 12 yards.

Still, his impact went way beyond the numbers.

He was hitting his receivers in stride, making great reads, going through his progressions, and it was more than evident that Sean Payton was coaching him to win.

The Broncos’ quarterback room isn’t particularly impressive, and there’s just no way anybody in the organization thinks that Zach Wilson or Jarrett Stidham is a better option for them at this time.

Nix has a great arm, is fast, athletic, and looks to be a perfect fit for Sean Payton’s offense, so it might be just a matter of time before they announce what we all know already: He’s going to be their starting quarterback.
