We’re deep into the NFL offseason, and not many top-notch free agents are still up for grabs.

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean teams won’t continue to make moves.

Several veterans are just waiting to get the right opportunity, and they’re in no rush to get a deal done.

Some of them will wait until after the NFL Draft to see how things fall and which situation might be the best for them.

With that in mind, PFF shared their list of the best available free agents right now.

1. Justin Simmons
2. Stephon Gilmore

EDGE defender Jadeveon Clowney makes the cut at No. 5, and the former No. 1 pick has gauged plenty of league-wide interest as of late, which isn’t much of a surprise, considering the fact that he’s coming off a 9.5-sack season.

C Connor Williams gets the nod at No. 4, being one of the best offensive linemen in today’s game, and a big workhorse at center.

CB Steven Nelson is coming off an impressive campaign with the Houston Texans, but with the team looking to spend somewhere else, he’s now the third-best free agent up for grabs.

Despite his age, CB Stephon Gilmore makes the cut at No. 2, and he proved that he’s still defying Father Time last season by still being a star.

S Justin Simmons rounds out the list at No. 1, which makes perfect sense, as he was one of the best players in the game during his days with the Denver Broncos before his release.

Simmons can still contribute at a high level, and some believe he might be poised to reunite with Vic Fangio in Philadelphia.
