The Philadelphia Phillies entered the season with a few question marks on their roster.

One of the major questions was what the Phillies would do in their bullpen.

They made one under-the-radar signing in the offseason to bring in their closer.

Adding Craig Kimbrel on a one-year deal has been a great move for the Phillies.

He has taken over the closer role and thrived.

On the season, Kimbrel is 13 for 13 in save opportunities.

He has an ERA of 3.60 and has struck out 56 batters in 35.0 innings.

Kimbrel put together his best month as a Phillie in June.

According to Todd Zolecki, Kimbrel was voted NL Reliever of the Month.

Kimbrel pitched to a 0.69 ERA in June and recorded five saves.

For a team that had many question marks at the back end of their bullpen, Kimbrel has seemingly answered them.

The Phillies have been playing much better of late and find themselves back in the NL Wild Card race.

With an ERA of 3.87, the Phillies bullpen ranks fourth in the National League in that category.

Outside of Kimbrel, the Phillies are getting strong contributions from Jose Alvarado as well.

The lefty is having a career year and has been great in the setup role.

After making a run to the World Series last season the Phillies are hoping to pull off another great playoff run.

While it is rare for a team to go to the World Series in back-to-back seasons, the Phillies have the pieces to get it done.
