Sunday was a special day all across the sports world, as Father’s Day was celebrated.
Parents play a major role in shaping their kids’ journeys and helping them get started on their paths.
Fathers certainly play a big role in supporting dreams and preparing their children for what is to come.
The same can be said for Shohei Ohtani.
The Los Angeles Angels star can do things that no player has been able to do since Babe Ruth.
While his talent is undeniable, his parents certainly played a role in helping him realize his potential.
On Twitter, MLB kicked off Father’s Day on the right foot by posting an adorable picture of a young Ohtani with his dad.

Ohtani has certainly come a long way since this picture was taken.
Back then, he was just a little kid with big dreams.
Today, he is arguably the best player in all of baseball.
But none of this would have been possible without his father realizing his potential and supporting him through all the ups and downs of life.
This picture is a perfect reminder of what fathers bring to society and how important they are in shaping the future for their children.
But it’s always interesting and heartwarming to see such pictures of superstars at a young age, as it shows how far they’ve come since those pictures were taken.
Ohtani may not have known it at the time, but he would ultimately grow up to become one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.
