With just one picture, fans got a glimpse at Celtics history as well as someone who might be a big part of their future.
Everyone knows how big a part Pierce has in the history of the team.
During his years with Boston, he averaged 21.8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
He earned 10 All-Star spots, won a championship, and also became the Finals MVP in 2008.
Since then, he has become a Hall of Famer and also earned entry to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
Pierce is still considered one of the most important Celtics players in history and is beloved by the fans.
Now he’s looking ahead to see what might come next for the team.
Expectations for Holiday are high and he’s looking to meet – or surpass – them.
The Celtics have been one of the greatest teams in the league for the last few years but they have ultimately fallen short of their goals.
There is hope that Holiday will be the last piece of the puzzle, the final addition to the roster that will help them win another Finals.
To make that happen, he will have to work closely with his teammates and coaches.
He will also welcome input from former superstars like Pierce.
