The Pittsburgh Pirates joined the Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers, and Baltimore Orioles on Monday in revealing something special.
Though the Pirates did not exactly reveal them, they announced that their new Nike City Connect uniforms will be coming later this season.
In fact, the exact date will be June 27.
On Twitter, the Pirates released a brief hype video to get fans excited for the big day.

The uniforms themselves were not revealed in the video, but there is a certain date that Pirates fans will have to look forward to, as shiny new uniforms are on the way.
It’s anybody’s guess as to what these new uniforms will look like.
Given that Pittsburgh is considered “The Steel City,” the Pirates City Connect jerseys may have something to do with that.
In any case, the new uniforms should look quite nice.
Only two teams in the National League Central division have revealed what their City Connect uniforms will look like.
The Chicago Cubs revealed theirs in 2021, with the Milwaukee Brewers following suit in 2022.
The Cincinnati Reds’ new jerseys will be coming this year as well, and the St. Louis Cardinals will have theirs by 2024.
It likely will not be long before the Pirates reveal what their new uniforms will look like.
Fortunately, Pirates fans have a date they can look forward to.
Pittsburgh will be playing host to the San Diego Padres on that day.
The Padres revealed their uniforms last year, but June 27 will be the day that the Pirates reveal theirs.
