It’s no secret that the Detroit Pistons are in the middle of a rebuild.
After only making the playoffs twice in the past decade, and getting swept in both appearances, the Pistons are trying to do anything possible to make some changes.
One of their most recent offseason moves was to bring Tobias Harris back to the team.
Harris played for them for three years but has recently spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers.
After signing him to a two-year deal, the team is confident in his ability to help them rebuild, as Jake Fischer recently reported via NBA Central.
“Outside of George and two-time championship wing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the only other major beneficiaries on the open market who changed teams were Tobias Harris- whom Detroit, sources said, believes can serve as a foundational leader for the Pistons’ rebuild from the NBA cellar,” Fisher said.

The Pistons already have a few promising young players on the roster, but Harris could help bring everyone and everything together.
He is a longtime NBA veteran to this point, and with his level of experience, the Pistons could greatly benefit.
Their road to relevancy might be steep, especially considering the strength of the Eastern Conference, but they have to try and do something to make changes.
The product they’ve put on the court in recent seasons has not been the answer, so any major changes they can make to try and shake things up could be beneficial to them.
