The Boston Celtics are just one game away from representing the Eastern Conference in the 2024 NBA Finals after they took down the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 on the road.

The Pacers entered the game as massive underdogs as Tyrese Haliburton was forced to miss the game with a hamstring injury, but the team battled valiantly in the first half to put the Celtics down by double digits.

However, Boston rallied back in the second half and an excellent defensive play from Jrue Holiday sealed the victory and gave them a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The star wing duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had their best combined effort of the Eastern Conference Finals, scoring 60 points between them.

Brown in particular has been on a mission since being snubbed from the All-NBA teams, and is making voters regret passing on him.

Stephen A. Smith recently criticized Brown’s attitude and marketability which prompted a defense from Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas via his personal Twitter account.

I have been a friend, mentor and advisor to @FCHWPO since he was a student at UC Berkeley he is 100 percent marketable and before you slander his name @stephenasmith tell your source to put their name on it or don’t speak on it. Let it be known,” Thomas tweeted.

Smith claimed he had a source who explained why Brown is so unlikable and it looks like Thomas wanted to debunk any notions of the Celtics’ star personality.

Knowing Smith, he’ll likely retort back in some fashion though Brown himself is more concerned with getting to the Finals.
