Everybody knows just how good New York Jets’ DL Quinnen Williams is as a football player.

But behind those notorious physical traits in this game, the Jets superstar also knows he’s got a bigger reason to stand out from the rest of the pack.

During an interview with Ryan Clark for The Pivot, the former first-round pick opened up about his late mother, Marquischa Henderson Williams, who died at just 37 years old when he was in middle school.

Williams’ mother died of breast cancer, and that was obviously a defining moment in his life.

He claims that tough loss helped him become the person he is nowadays, adding that everything he does on and off the field is to try and make her proud.

And proud she must be, indeed.

Williams just inked a massive four-year contract extension worth up to a whopping $96 million, and he’s become the most crucial part of the Jets’ defense.

On top of that, with Aaron Rodgers now on the team and another year of that dominant defense meshing together, there’s a legitimate chance that the All-Pro DT can win his first Super Bowl ring this season if things go his way.

Nonetheless, as his mother told him, he needs to finish what he started first.

So, as much as everybody expects the Jets to be the team to beat and win a Super Bowl in their very first season with Rodgers on the team, they still need to prove themselves on the field.
