The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had an impressive 2023 season.

Thanks in large part to a resurgent season from Pro Bowl quarterback Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay won nine games en route to earning the NFC South crown.

Additionally, they beat the previous year’s NFC Super Bowl representative in the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the playoffs.

In the first year without Tom Brady, Tampa surprised a lot of people.

Now, for them to stay on top in the NFC South, it will be up to the players around Mayfield to step up.

Mike Evans and Chris Godwin make up arguably the best wide receiver duo, so there is no problem there.

Perhaps an improved season from starting running back Rachaad White could be in order.

“Obviously, there’s not been a 1,000-yard rusher here in like, what, nine years, and obviously, I was 10 yards short of that last year,” White recently said of his play on The Rich Eisen Show.

White noted that his goal is to get well over 1,000 yards in 2024 on the ground.

The 25-year-old did put up over 1,500 scrimmage yards and nine total touchdowns for the playoff-bound Bucs last season.

It is clear that he is a productive player in multiple facets.

If Mayfield plays the way he did last year and with the talent on the outside, White rushing for over 1,000 yards could keep this team on top in a tough NFC South.
