The deal was made late Monday night and now James Harden has joined the Los Angeles Clippers.
He finally got what he wanted but how does Harden’s inclusion on the team really help its chances?
Rachel Nichols spoke about what Harden brings to the team on Tuesday’s episode of “Undisputed.”
“No one averaged 6 assists since Kawhi and PG arrived. Harden averaged nearly 11. This is another highly talented player who can space the floor,” Nichols stated.

Nichols rightfully pointed out that head coach Ty Lue’s biggest problem over the last few years is that he hasn’t had a lot of bodies to put on the court.
Injuries have constantly plagued the team and required Lue to think on his feet and make a number of adjustments.
The team has lacked a lot of consistency which has hurt them horribly.
Even with the drama that he often brings, Harden is the sort of player who will suit up for many games, remain healthy, and be able to make points and create assists too.
This takes the pressure off Kawhi Leonard and Paul George but especially off Lue, who has to repeatedly make changes to his lineup when Leonard and George get hurt.
The Harden fiasco in Philadelphia definitely left a bad impression on many but there is no doubt that he’s a supremely talented athlete when he wants to play.
He hasn’t hidden his desire to play for the Clippers so it seems that he really does want to contribute to this team.
That means fans could see a driven, fired-up, athletic Harden for the rest of the season.
