In a matter of days, Bronny James could be a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Most reports from inside the team say they are adamant about acquiring the son of LeBron in the NBA draft.
But he won’t be a top pick or even selected in the first round.
That’s because he will likely never be a superstar, according to Rachel Nichols.
On Tuesday’s “Undisputed,” Nichols said Bronny has shown some skills, such as elite defense and his ability to work well with others.
But she also said that few people selected late in the second round ever go on to be major players in the league.
Despite his last name, Bronny might not ever be an All-Star or a top player in the NBA.

Bronny’s brief time in college didn’t give Lakers fans much to be excited about.
He didn’t put up very good numbers and wasn’t able to play as often as wanted because of a very serious medical incident last summer.
But he gained a lot more attention recently when he performed well at the NBA combine.
At that event, Bronny showed that he is a much better player than he was at USC.
Now the Lakers seem dedicated to getting Bronny.
Many people assume that is just because they want to keep his father happy but there is also a chance the team views Bronny as the sort of young player who could develop into someone special.
Some late second round picks have gone on to do impressive things but most of them don’t have long-lasting careers in the NBA.
Maybe Bronny breaks the mold because of the Lakers’ faith in him and his familial DNA, but maybe his time in the league will be brief and disappointing.
