The Phoenix Suns are now just two defeats away from losing in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.

They were again taken down by the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, 105-93, falling to a 2-0 deficit.

On Wednesday’s “Undisputed,” Rachel Nichols said that the Suns “don’t have enough” to take down the Timberwolves.

She also said “Kevin Durant did not look involved in the second half,” and that the team’s focus on having a big three have led them to this point.

Nichols points out that having a big three isn’t a popular move across the league right now and the current state of the Suns is the reason why.

Phoenix is relying a lot on Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal but the Timberwolves are looking like a well-rounded, totally cohesive unit.

They don’t have to only turn to their biggest stars to make victory possible.

In fact, Anthony Edwards only scored 15 points during Tuesday’s win, while it was Jaden McDaniels who did the most with his 25 points and 8 rebounds.

It seems that Nichols has a point when she says that the Suns don’t have what it takes to beat the Timberwolves, which would throw their entire future into question.

They have spent a lot of time, money, and energy assembling the team they have now.

If it doesn’t deliver results, they might rethink their plans and perhaps make some major adjustments.

The Suns’ lineup was one of the most feared last summer when it was put together but now it looks lacking and limping.

If they fall short in the playoffs, there will be major concerns about Phoenix and their road ahead.
