This offseason is a full-circle moment for Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris, who finds himself back with the franchise after agreeing to lead from the sideline.
Morris had a successful stint with the Los Angeles Rams as their defensive coordinator, helping lead the team to a Super Bowl title in 2021.
Now, Morris will take on the challenge of building up a Falcons team that has plenty of young offensive talent on the roster and a solid defense to boot.
Atlanta owns the No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and they could go in a number of directions with the selection given their needs on both sides of the football.
NFL Combine week is always a fun time for fans and teams as they get a chance to see what some of the best prospects in the draft can do in drills.
Morris was asked to name the best prospect he’s seen at the combine and he selected a former Falcons player, via NFL on CBS.
“DeAngelo Hall running the 40 when we challenged him years ago,” Morris said.

Coincidentally, Hall was the eighth overall pick all the way back in the 2004 NFL Draft by Atlanta and went on to have a great career.
Hall made three Pro Bowl teams, including two with the Falcons, and split his time playing cornerback and safety.
The former defensive back ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the combine, which must have impressed Morris, who was an assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the time.
This year, Morris and the rest of the Atlanta organization is hoping they land a true difference-maker when they’re on the clock.
