The Las Vegas Raiders are fresh off their first loss of the Antonio Pierce era, but even though they couldn’t leave Florida with a win, they still made a good impression against a competitive team.
The Raiders need to be almost flawless if they want to make the playoffs, and they’re looking at three straight home games, with four of their final six contests coming at Allegiant Stadium.
That’s why their interim head coach urged the fans to be on their loudest behavior and show their love for the team ahead of Sunday’s divisional matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, via Around The NFL and NFL.com.
“Having a homefield advantage for us is huge,” Pierce said. “What we’ve gotten the last two home games against the Giants and Jets, that has also energized our team. So, I’m calling on Raider nation, our fanbase, our alumni to show up and show out. Bring that energy, bring that passion. Watch these guys play hard, give their effort, execute at a high level and play with the intention to win every game at home. Allegiant Stadium has to be ours. That Black Hole has to be real.”

The fans have been quite supportive of the team since parting ways with Josh McDaniels.
The Raiders beat the New York Giants, 30-6, and followed it with a 16-12 win over the New York Jets before suffering that 20-13 setback vs. the Miami Dolphins.
They currently have a 5-6 record, so their margin for error is pretty much non-existent.
That’s only going to make it tougher for a Chiefs team that’s coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and that will look to make a statement and prove that they’re still the team to beat in the AFC.
The Raiders defense has looked much better since Pierce took over, and with the Chiefs struggling offensively as of late, this game could be closer than what one would’ve thought just a little over a month ago.
