The Las Vegas Raiders endured an absolute mess of a season during the 2023 campaign, getting nothing out of veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and having to deal with an in-season coaching change, switching to Antonio Pierce from Josh McDaniels.

They now are hoping to put that behind them and make some progress in 2024.

Although the Raiders aren’t expected to make a lot of noise in the AFC this season, Las Vegas might have one of the better defenses in the league, led by defensive end Maxx Crosby, who has become one of the best players at his position in the NFL.

Crosby has made the Raiders a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line over the past couple of years, and now he might have talent around him, with Jack Jones, Nate Hobbs and Christian Wilkins on board.

Even though the offense is dotted with notable players like Davante Adams, Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers, the quarterback position is shaky at best with veteran journeyman Gardner Minshew recently being named the starter over Aidan O’Connell.

That said, the Raiders will have to hang their hat on the defensive side of the football, and they recently made a move to help bolster that unit moving forward, signing linebacker DaShaun White and releasing wide receiver Jeff Foreman, according to Raider Nation Radio.

As every team in the NFL is doing right now, the Raiders are trying to finalize their roster and prepare for the upcoming 17-game grind by putting the right pieces together on both sides of the football.

White played for the Michigan Panthers of the UFL this past season before landing with the Raiders, and he will have to quickly prove himself to make the squad prior to Week 1 of the regular season.
