The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will take the field at SoFi Stadium for yet another edition of their divisional rivalry.
These teams have starred in some epic battles throughout the course of the years.
And while this time, the Niners should be heavily favored over the sluggish Rams, this next matchup will be of historical condition, according to NFL on ESPN.

Per their report, this will be the first time in NFL history that a quarterback drafted with the No. 1 pick squares off against one taken with the very last pick.
Notably, Brock Purdy has played out of his mind since he took the field, and he doesn’t look like Mr. Irrelevant at all.
He even beat both Sam Darnold and Trey Lance for the QB1 job, with HC Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch raving about his progress and how much they believed in him.
Purdy has yet to lose a regular-season game in his young career, and the only game he lost was that NFC Championship Game in which he wasn’t even able to stay on the field for long because of an injury.
Now, he’s looking to lead the Niners’ plethora of playmakers back to the Super Bowl for the first time in a while.
As for Matthew Stafford, he’s coming off an injury-riddled season, and enters this year with a suspect receiving corps.
The Rams aren’t expected to do well this season, but Stafford has always found ways to make the most of the weapons he’s been given.
Whoever wins, this will be a very fun QB matchup.
