Entering the 2023 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams knew they would be relying on a lot of young and inexperienced talent on both sides of the field.
The Rams have been known to feature several star players, but the team was forced to cut their veterans this past offseason in order to clear their books.
Los Angeles brought in a new wave of rookies and undrafted players to fill in the gaps and the results have been mixed so far.
Several players have flashed and look like long-term pieces for the franchise, but there have also been some expected growing pains.
The team did have several returners step up in larger roles, notably defensive tackle Bobby Brown who has been on injured reserve after he suffered an MCL sprain in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Brown was able to log practices all week and was finally activated off of IR via the team’s official Twitter account.

Brown is a solid nose tackle who has been able to take away some of the attention Aaron Donald gets up front.
While Brown was out, defensive coordinator Raheem Morris gave more opportunities to Kobie Turner whom the team drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Turner has looked great up front and is steadily improving, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Rams divvy up snaps between him and Brown.
With Brown coming off a knee injury, he likely won’t see a full workload though it could be a matter of time until he’s back to playing most of the snaps.
