There have been rumors this offseason that Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald will either retire or be traded.

The trade rumors involving him have seemingly gained steam after they dealt star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins a few weeks ago.

In any case, the Rams have released a video to pay tribute to Donald and his nine-year tenure (so far) with the Rams.

Donald was the No. 13 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he immediately became a force on the Rams’ defensive line.

He had 9.0 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and 13 quarterback hits as a rookie, which earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl and the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Since then, he has made the Pro Bowl each season and the All-Pro first team seven times, and he has won three Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Ramsey’s high-water mark came in the 2021 season when he posted 12.5 sacks, 25 QB hits and 19 tackles for loss in the regular season as Los Angeles established a 12-5 record.

They went on to win the Super Bowl over the Cincinnati Bengals, as Donald had 2.0 sacks, three QB hits, two tackles for loss and four total tackles (three solo) in the big game.

There were rumors he would retire after getting his ring, but he decided to suit up for the 2022 campaign, only to become one of a number of key Rams players to suffer significant injuries.

At age 31, Donald could still have another year or two of good football left in him, whether it will come in L.A. or somewhere else.
