With a 4-6 record, the Los Angeles Rams have a faint hope of claiming a playoff spot in the NFC, and they can take one step closer to doing so with a win this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals are just 2-9 and seemingly have nothing to play for the rest of the way, but the Rams have been inconsistent dating back to last season, so a win is by no means a certainty.
The team announced on its official Twitter account on Tuesday that it has waived running back Darrell Henderson.

Henderson had been a main threat for the Rams in their backfield over the last few years, and he was a key member of the 2021 team that won the Super Bowl.
That season, he ran for 688 yards and five touchdowns while adding 173 yards and three touchdowns in the air in 12 regular-season games.
But since then, Henderson hasn’t quite been the same.
Los Angeles waived him late last season as they went through the type of miserable year that few defending Super Bowl champs have ever had to endure.
The Jacksonville Jaguars picked him up shortly afterward, but he didn’t play a single game for them, and the Rams brought him back as a practice squad player last month.
Early this season, Kyren Williams, a second-year man, emerged as L.A.’s new featured running back, and he put up 456 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in his first six games this year.
He has been on the injured list for the past month due to an ankle ailment.
