The Texas Rangers witnessed a historic moment last season.
With just a few games left on the 2022 schedule, Aaron Judge hit his 62nd home run of the season, passing fellow New York Yankees legend Roger Maris and becoming the American League’s single-season home run king.
The Rangers are a much better team this season, but they haven’t forgotten about the moment when Judge made history.
As a matter of fact, they have actually marked the spot out in the left field seats where Judge hit his historic home run, just above where it landed before a fan jumped down to retrieve the ball.

The Rangers haven’t had much success since their new ballpark was built.
However, it is interesting to see that the Rangers marked the actual spot where the ball landed.
It wasn’t a good season for the Rangers in 2022, but that was still a historic moment that took place in their ballpark, and the spot where it landed is also an important piece of history.
Nobody that was in attendance that night is going to forget what happened, where the ball landed, and the effort that was put forth by the fan who jumped down from his seat to retrieve it.
The fan showed tremendous dedication when he made that play.
But this is the first time the Yankees are back in Arlington since Judge hit his historic homer.
So it’s only fitting that the Rangers have marked the actual spot where history was made on that night.
