A lot of people have said Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves is one of the best players in the NBA.
In fact, some have said he’s the second coming of Michael Jordan.
But others claim Edwards isn’t at that point, at least not yet.
Speaking on the “Sheed & Tyler Show”, per NBACentral, Rasheed Wallace opened up about Edwards and stated he still has a ways to go.
He said he’s not better than former small forward Derrick McKey and isn’t yet a wing player who can contribute like he should on both ends of the court.

Wallace is throwing a little bit of water on the amount of praise that Edwards has earned over the last few years.
His 2023-24 season was explosive, with an average of 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
He was shooting 46.1% from the field and was a hugely important player for his Timberwolves.
Partly because of Edwards, the team was able to storm into the playoffs for the first time in years and they made a big impression on all fans.
They ultimately fell short of their goals but it felt like they were making a statement last season and will be here to stay for some time.
As great as Edwards was, he is still young and has room for improvement.
As mentioned by Wallace, his defensive game could get better.
With that said, no one should be shamed for thinking Edwards is one of the best young players in the league and possibly a future face of the NBA.
His greatness is only growing.
