Ravens Are Copying An Elite Championship Trend

The Baltimore Ravens have been a bit of a steamroller this season.

They’ve hit the ground running week in and week out, and even though they’ve blown three leads to date, they’ve still managed to hold onto their big leads more often than not.

As a matter of fact, Elias Sports and ESPN Stats & Info revealed that the Ravens have trailed by a grand total of 32 minutes and 15 seconds this season.

The Ravens have trailed for a total of 32 minutes and 15 seconds this season.

Only the 1998 Broncos have trailed for less time through 11 games since the 1970 Merger.

That team would go on to win the Super Bowl.

Apparently, only the 1998 Super Bowl-winning Denver Broncos have trailed for less time through 11 games since the 1970 merger.

The Ravens are far from flawless, and Mark Andrews’ season-ending injury is going to be a massive blow for their passing game.

Also, Lamar Jackson’s numbers haven’t exactly been spectacular, and their late-game defense has raised some concerns.

Then again, they’re 8-3 and comfortably sitting atop the AFC North division, and they’re playing like the best team in the AFC right now.

Once again, it seems like things will go down to whether Jackson is able to stay on the field and finish the season, which is something that hasn’t happened over the past couple of years.

Should that be the case, then there’s absolutely no reason to think that this Ravens team cannot compete at the highest level and reach the big game at the end of the season.

They do have a history of shortcomings when it matters the most, but all streaks — both good and bad — eventually come to an end, and it’s been long enough since we last saw the Ravens going the distance.
