The Baltimore Ravens will be squarely in contention for the Super Bowl during the 2024 NFL season as they’ve got a loaded roster on both sides of the field.
Offensively, Lamar Jackson will be in position to repeat as NFL MVP, though the team got him some major help in the running game when they signed Derrick Henry to a two-year deal in free agency.
Defensively, Baltimore’s got star-level players at each level and were one of the best-ranked units in the league during the 2023 NFL season.
To bolster their defense further, the Ravens went out and signed veteran safety Eddie Jackson to a one-year deal after he was released by the Chicago Bears.
Jackson is a former All-Pro who can step in and immediately contribute to the backend for a Baltimore defense that should be stifling.
To make room for Jackson on the 53-man roster, the Ravens announced they waived rookie safety Jordan Toles via Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.

Parting ways with Toles made sense as the rookie likely wouldn’t have made the final roster with Jackson on board.
Although Jackson is on the downswing of his career, he would’ve been a great addition for any team but he picked a Baltimore squad that can help him win a title.
The Ravens will need to prove they can get over the hump in the AFC, but they’ve given themselves a legitimate chance to do so.
