The NFL recently announced that the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs will be kicking off the NFL season at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5.
It will be a rematch of January’s AFC Championship Game, which saw the Chiefs go into Baltimore and win.
Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely recently appeared on “Up & Adams” to issue a warning for anybody doubting the Ravens after what happened in their home playoff loss to Kansas City.
“I mean, the last time they had us as the underdogs, we were playing San Fran and you saw what happened,” Likely said.

Likely is referencing last season’s Christmas Night game that saw the Ravens beat the 49ers handily, 33-19.
There is no doubt that Baltimore is a tremendous regular season team.
That’s why they were able to make it to the AFC Championship Game last season.
After all, they’ve won 10+ games in five of the last six seasons.
However, they’ve won just two playoff games since 2015, and January’s AFC Championship Game was arguably the most painful postseason loss in the team’s existence.
So, that is why this kickoff game is going to be quite spicy.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have won five of their last six meetings with the Ravens.
Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, along with Likely and the rest of the Baltimore squad, will be hungry to pull off the upset in Week 1.
If they were to do just that, it would be the second consecutive season where the Chiefs lose to open the NFL season.
Of course, it didn’t matter much last year seeing as they won another Super Bowl.
Nevertheless, this is going to be a fantastic matchup to start the season.
