The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty is running on fumes, and most around the NBA believe it is finally over.
They missed the playoffs this season, and it was the first time they had done so while relatively healthy since 2012.
After tearing his ACL and Achilles a few years ago, Klay Thompson, who was the Warriors’ second star throughout the peak years of their dynasty, is clearly not the same player anymore, and he is about to become a free agent, which means they must make a big decision this offseason.
But Hall of Fame sharpshooter Ray Allen told Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson that Thompson reminds him of the way he once played.
Ray Allen says Klay Thompson games mirrors his:
“I’ve always been impressed with him. I always thought that he was one of the best players in the league. He mirrors kind of the way I played.”

After Thompson calls it quits, he will surely get into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame himself, and he is considered one of the very best 3-point shooters in NBA history.
Like Allen back in the day, he is adept at moving without the ball and using screens to get himself open, especially within head coach Steve Kerr’s offense, which is based upon ball and player movement.
Thompson’s numbers in the last three seasons are down from where they were prior to his two major injuries, but for his career, he has a sterling accuracy of 41.3 percent from 3-point range.
If Golden State wants to keep Thompson, they will have to pay him a large amount of money, and it would make it very difficult for them to infuse themselves with young talent, which is what they need right now if they are to jump-start their dynasty.
