The Baltimore Ravens are kicking off the 2024 NFL regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of the AFC Championship Game.
Anytime the Ravens are involved in a big game, you know legendary linebacker Ray Lewis is going to have something to say.
“Baltimore … the show starts tonight … who’s ready?” Lewis recently posted on social media.

If that doesn’t have Ravens fans fired up, it is hard to think what would.
After hosting the championship game for the first time in their history last season, the Ravens, led by reigning NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, are looking to do the same and more in 2024.
Unfortunately for them, they lost that title game to the team they are playing tonight.
The Chiefs are the kings of the castle in the AFC, seeing as they have won three of the past five league championships and are seeking the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history.
The addition of All-Pro running back Derrick Henry provides the Baltimore offense with yet another talented playmaker.
Also, the return of now-healthy Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews could help too.
If the Ravens can find a way to limit big plays by the Chiefs, and by every opponent this season, they could be back hosting the AFC Championship Game in January.
This Week 1 showdown should give fans a great glimpse of where the team stands at the start of the 2024 regular season.
