Opening Day was a smashing hit as teams officially began their 2023 seasons.

The Boston Red Sox kicked off their slate of regular season games at home against the Baltimore Orioles.

The day didn’t end as they had hoped, as the Orioles won by a final score of 10-9 at Fenway Park.

However, that didn’t dampen the excitement for the 2023 season and what it may have in store for the Sox.

Before the game, the Red Sox received a nice message of support from the NBA’s Boston Celtics, who wished their Boston allies good luck for 2023 and expressed excitement for the return of Major League Baseball.

It’s always nice to receive a message of support to start the season.

That’s what the Red Sox got from the Celtics on Thursday before their home opener against the Orioles.

But just as it is anywhere else, Opening Day is a special day in Boston, as team legends from the past make their appearances and fans get a chance to watch their team for the first time.

There are some new faces in Boston too.

Adam Duvall, Masataka Yoshida, Corey Kluber, Kenley Jansen, and Justin Turner are just a few of them.

However, regardless of how the season goes, it’s always fun to have baseball back and spring in full bloom.

The same excitement and energy can be felt all around Boston as the team looks to rebound from a tough 2022 season.

Fans are hoping for a strong season, as are the rest of Boston’s sports teams.
