The Cincinnati Reds have made a U-turn this season if we compare where they stood at this stage last year.

They had a monumentally bad start in 2022, ownership and the front office were feuding with fans, and the team was trading their best players before the deadline.

It’s impressive how things can change in a matter of months, though.

As of Friday afternoon, the Reds are 40-35 with an ongoing 11-game winning streak.

No, it’s not a mistake: they have really won 11 games in a row.

The team will start an important series against the Atlanta Braves on Friday, at home.

It will be a great chance to measure how well the Reds can perform against really great competition.

Fans, who were understandably disengaged from the team last year, are now all-in.

“Tonight’s #Reds-Braves game is officially SOLD OUT,” the team reported via Twitter.

Great American Ballpark will be packed to watch Elly De La Cruz, Spencer Steer, Jonathan India, Tyler Stephenson, TJ Friedl, and more young stars take on the Braves.

On Friday night, fans will enjoy an exciting matchup between AJ Smith-Shawver and Luke Weaver as well.

If they keep accumulating wins, there is a chance the Reds play postseason baseball this year.

That was extremely unlikely just a few months ago, before of the start of the season.

Now, it’s a matter of when, not if, the Reds return to the place they belonged all along.
