If you have followed MLB in recent weeks, you know that the Cincinnati Reds are one of the most exciting teams in the league at the moment.
They are one of those squads that attract even casual fans in front of the TV.
They are that good, which is quite shocking to say considering their disastrous 2022.
It goes to show that focusing on the minors and developing prospects eventually works out to perfection.
Their start wasn’t this explosive, but the Reds just highlighted how hot they are in a recent tweet.

They have won five straight games, eight of their last ten, and 20 of their last 24.
They are competing with the Atlanta Braves for the unofficial title of hottest team in baseball.
Cincinnati is already 10 games over .500 and hold a two-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central.
Four rookies have been instrumental in the Reds’ 2023 success: Spencer Steer, Matt McLain, Elly De La Cruz, and Andrew Abbott.
McLain is second in fWAR (Wins Above Replacement, per FanGraphs’ version) with 1.9, Steer has 1.6, and De La Cruz is at 1.1 with just 27 games played in the bigs.
The rookies have complemented veterans Jonathan India, TJ Friedl, Jake Fraley, and most recently Joey Votto.
Abbott has developed into an ace with his 1.21 ERA in six starts.
The Reds also have other impact prospects in the system, like Noelvi Marte and Christian Encarnacion-Strand.
This is an up-and-coming powerhouse, a team that has enough young talent to be at the top for the next few years.
It’s definitely an exciting time to be a Reds fan.
