The Cincinnati Reds have become one of the more interesting stories in all of baseball this season.
After they lost 100 games in 2022 and finished in last place in the NL Central, the team has emerged as perhaps the best squad in the division.
At 44-39, they are tied with the Milwaukee Brewers for the top spot.
Young stars such as Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, Jonathan India, Hunter Greene, Andrew Abbott, and Alexis Diaz have guided them to the top of the Central.
De La Cruz has grabbed most of the headlines, but McLain is another player who has been intriguing for fans to watch.
However, De La Cruz has one critique for McLain, and he discussed it on MLB Network.

De La Cruz had talked to McLain after the latter had hit a home run, revealing to him that he needed to work on his bat flipping skills.
The young shortstop says that it’s still a work in progress, but that McLain has drastically improved his bat flipping skills in recent weeks.
He also says there are only a few minor tweaks McLain needs to make to become as energetic of a bat flipper as him.
These days, bat flips are one of the more entertaining aspects of the game of baseball.
Players play with an extra edge and add a little bit of boisterous energy to the game.
De La Cruz seems to believe that McLain is making progress on his bat flip and that soon, he’ll be ready to flaunt his bat flipping skills to the rest of the baseball world.
