The Boston Celtics are truly head and shoulders above the rest of the competition in the 2023-24 NBA season.
While many expected the Big 3 of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis to dominate opponents this season, the rise of Derrick White was a pleasant surprise for the organization.
White has been part of the Celtics since the 2021-22 NBA season, but he is truly playing at an elite level since the start of this year’s campaign.
In fact, former NBA star Reggie Miller went as far as saying that White could earn a spot in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, via NBACentral on Twitter.
“I would be surprised if he’s not on the All-Star team. At some point, you got to reward winning,” Miller said.

The Celtics are currently the number one seed in the Eastern Conference with a league-best 35-10 record this season.
White has contributed 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game to the Celtics in 41 appearances.
Apart from missing just four games this season, White has also shot a remarkable 46.5% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point line for the Celtics.
All things considered, White has undoubtedly played a crucial role in the success of the Celtics this season, but has he done enough to become an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career?
Considering the Celtics have won the most number of games this season, it wouldn’t be a surprise if multiple starters from the team earn the honor of becoming NBA All-Stars.
