After the Dallas Mavericks crushed the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals last week, the best-of-seven series has been extended to a Game 5 back at TD Garden.

Jayson Tatum and company have an opportunity to win it all on their home floor on Monday night.

Although the Mavericks beat the Celtics by 38 points at American Airlines Center in Dallas to force Game 5, sustaining that kind of effort on the road in Boston will not be easy, even though it is a win-or-go-home situation.

Dallas will need to get the same effort out of superstar Luka Doncic and the rest of the squad to simply keep up with the Celtics, let alone pull off another upset to force a Game 6 back in Texas.

However, anything can happen in this series moving forward, even though the Mavericks will have to make NBA history to win the Finals, with no team ever coming back from a 0-3 deficit.

NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller chimed in on the subject ahead of Game 5 on The Dan Patrick Show, where he believes the series will come to an end tonight with the Celtics coming out on top.

“I think it’s over tonight because I just don’t think Dallas can sustain that shot-making, and defensively they’re targeting Luka. He was better defensively in game 4. Can he do it again here in game 5? I don’t know, Dan,” Miller said.

If the Celtics win on Monday night, Boston will break the tie with the arch-rival Los Angeles Lakers for the most titles in league history with 18.

Along with topping their arch-rivals, the Celtics will finally see the dynamic duo of Tatum and Jaylen Brown live up to expectations and potentially be the duo/team to beat for years to come.
