Reggie Miller Reveals His Feelings About Calling A Game In New York

Reggie Miller is the greatest Indiana Pacer of all time, and it might take a lot to take that distinction away from him.

Even if he wasn’t able to lead them to an NBA championship, he became one of the first legendary sharpshooters of the game, a deadly scorer, and a guy who always rose to the occasion.

More than that, he’s also known for being an elite trash-talker, and that hasn’t changed the slightest.

If anything, he’s only gotten better, as he showed during Game 2 of the second-round matchup between his beloved Pacers and the New York Knicks.

When asked about whether he was ‘afraid’ of going back to NYC, knowing how much the local fans despised him, he simply stated that he was not scared because he already owned that building and that city (via Hoop Central).

Reggie Miller:

“People are like, ‘Aren’t you worried about going back to NYC & calling a game?’ No. I’ve owned this city. I’ve owned this building.”

That’s vintage Reggie Miller right there.

Of course, Miller starred in some epic moments in this rivalry, most notoriously his eight points in nine seconds to beat the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Miller made choking signs towards Knicks superfan Spike Lee in what became one of the most memorable moments in NBA history.

The series will now head to Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4, and Rick Carlisle’s team will be ready to even things up after two heated and close matchups at Madison Square Garden.
