After bringing in star quarterback Deshaun Watson a couple of years ago, the Cleveland Browns were thought to have finally addressed the one position they have struggled to get right over the years.
Unfortunately for Cleveland, Watson hasn’t done much to prove the team made the right decision as he has struggled to stay healthy, leaving a lot of uncertainty that he is the right man for the job under center for the foreseeable future.
With Watson seemingly always being a risk due to being somewhat injury-prone, the Browns need to make sure they have some insurance at the quarterback position, which they addressed during the offseason by bringing in veteran Jameis Winston.
Along with Winston, the team has promising youngster Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic, the team might seriously consider trading him before finalizing their roster ahead of Week 1.

After a successful stint on the college level with UCLA, the Browns selected Thompson-Robinson in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft at No. 140 overall.
Obviously, going that low in the draft doesn’t bode well for a promising NFL career, but he does have some talent and might be able to make a career for himself given the right opportunity, which might be what the Browns are banking on to improve his trade value moving forward.
It’ll be interesting to see whether the team is able to trade Thompson-Robinson and what they do with the quarterback position when they finalize their roster.
