With the 2023 season right around corner, expectations are high for the Cincinnati Bengals who look like a legitimate contender to win the AFC.

The Bengals are loaded with talent at nearly every position, especially offensively as they’ve got one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL in Joe Burrow.

Burrow suffered a calf injury in training camp, but the signal caller is expected to suit up for their Week 1 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Flanking Burrow will be his talented wide receiver duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins who can explode on any given week.

Chase has assumed the mantle as the number one receiver on the team, but that shouldn’t take away anything from Higgins who is a rising star in his own right.

Higgins is entering his fourth year in the league which means he is extension-eligible and it appears that Cincinnati is determined to try and keep him around for the long haul via Mike Petraglia of Jungle Roar Pod.

The Bengals won’t give up that easily on extending Tee. He’s an elite WR and one of their own. The Bengals have ALWAYS been partial to their own. They’ll make a good-faith effort.

Higgins is well-worth investing in as he’s proven that he can command a large volume of the targets and be a reliable option for Burrow in the passing game.

With his combination of size, speed, and athleticism Higgins has all the tools to be one of the best receivers in the NFL and the Bengals understand that that type of player is worth keeping.

Although there hasn’t been much news about an extension getting done, the two sides will surely come together to discuss terms throughout the year.
