The Chicago Bulls could be on the verge of a fire sale at some point in the season.

This team has shown over and over that they cannot compete at the same level as other powerhouses in the Eastern Conference, which is kind of mind-boggling if you consider the fact that they have plenty of talent in their ranks.

With that in mind, multiple teams could turn their sights to the Windy City to try and make the most of this situation.

And with all the rumors about Zach LaVine being a potential trade target for the Los Angeles Lakers, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports that they could also show an interest in DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso (via NBA Central).

Notably, the Lakers regretted letting Caruso go as soon as he left the building.

He’s one of the best defensive players in the league, and they could definitely use that kind of spark off the bench.

As for DeRozan, he’s in the final year of his career, so he should be the easiest to get.

Nonetheless, we’re talking about a non-shooter next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so the fit might not be there unless he’s willing to come off the bench, which wouldn’t make sense either.

Whatever the case, all signs point towards this being the Bulls’ final attempt to get the job done with this current roster, and if they continue to fail, their roster could look quite different by the end of the season.
