Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics was a member of the 2022-23 All-NBA team.

This was only made possible because of the votes of media members, who choose which players make the cut and which aren’t good enough.

Brown is greatly appreciative of those who voted for him and he has thanked one of them personally.

Denver Post writer Mike Singer received a letter from Brown that contained a heartfelt message thanking him for his vote.

“I recognize the power and weight of the current system of All-NBA voting and the impact it has on players like me in the current NBA,” Brown said.

He then thanked Singer and wished him and his family the best before personally signing it.

Classy note arrived today from @FCHWPO @JGlushon.

No media member asked for their vote to carry enormous weight re. All-NBA. Cool of him to acknowledge that. pic.twitter.com/0FOVCWmnvC

Singer was right to call the gesture “classy.”

To many fans, the stars who get selected for the All-NBA team are interesting but not all that important in the grand scheme of things.

But for the players, it means an awful lot.

It can help them get paid more and it also shows their value in the league.

It’s a very big deal for NBA athletes and Brown’s letter proves that.

Of course, Singer was smart to select Brown for All-NBA because he had a great season.

He averaged 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 49.1% from the floor.

Those are some of his highest numbers in years and easily made him one of the most important parts of the Celtics’ lineup.

Not only did it lead to his All-NBA selection, but it also paved the way for his historic, jaw-dropping contract extension.

Brown is being recognized for how good he is and he’s thankful for those celebrating him.
