The 2023 NFL regular season is coming down to its final stretch, with the playoff picture in the league starting to shape up with the best squads separating themselves from the pack.
One team that has really put in the work over the last month or so has been the San Francisco 49ers, who were once on a three-game losing streak heading into their bye week and in danger of letting the season spiral out of control but got back on track and have now won five straight games.
After making a clear statement against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 3 with a blowout win over the defending NFC champions, the 49ers were able to keep it going in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Even though the Seahawks have really struggled as of late, they put up a fight against the 49ers on Sunday and made a game of it until San Francisco ran away with the game.
As a result of the 49ers dominating the competition ever since coming off their bye week, Rich Eisen is convinced that San Francisco is the best team in the league right now, via “The Rich Eisen Show” on Twitter.

It’s hard to argue with Eisen’s take here, as this team has been firing on all cylinders and looking virtually unbeatable with the offense clicking and the defense locked in every single week.
Perhaps the true test for the 49ers will be on Christmas Day when they face the Baltimore Ravens in a potential Super Bowl preview.
The Ravens have been arguably the best AFC team thus far and pose quite a threat with Lamar Jackson under center and their offense humming right now.
