The Denver Broncos entered the offseason with a lot of pressing questions to answer.
While there were several questions that fans wanted to know the answers to, the most significant was about the quarterback position.
There were rumors of the team being unhappy with Russell Wilson’s performances in his first two years with the team, but with his contract being substantial, fans were unsure if the team was going to make a move.
They ended up releasing him, and Wilson eventually signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A fresh start might be in the best interest of both parties, but with the departure of Wilson, the Broncos had a massive hole at QB.
Their backups didn’t seem to be in line for the starting job, leaving fans to wonder if the team was going to pivot to the draft to secure someone else at the position.
While this could still be the case, the Broncos did trade for Zach Wilson, a move that is seen as a head-scratcher to some.
Wilson struggled in New York, and the Jets ended up bringing in Aaron Rodgers to replace him.
While he had his fair share of miscues on the Jets, Rich Gannon recently indicated that this could be a good thing for both parties.
“A lot of people feel that he has some upside,” Gannon said on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Wilson was the No. 2 overall draft pick for a reason, and there is a chance that he wasn’t utilized properly in New York.
The Broncos needed someone with experience to join the team, and while Wilson’s time in the NFL hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive, he does have the reps the team was looking for.
