One of the most important names in the NBA Draft this summer is Bronny James.

The son of NBA legend and current Laker LeBron James is on the verge of entering the NBA after just one season at the University of Southern California.

Founder of Klutch Sports Group Rich Paul, who is one of the most popular sports agents in the game and a longtime friend of LeBron James, recently revealed a conversation that he had with Bronny James about his thoughts on the NBA Draft.

“I sat with him in my office and I said, ‘Bronny, what’s important to you?’ You know what he said to me? ‘Rich, I just want to hear my name called,’” Paul recounted to former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas on his podcast.

Rich Paul asked Bronny James his thoughts on entering the NBA Draft.

Rich: “What’s important to you?”

Bronny: “I just want to hear my name called.”

You don’t normally hear an answer like that from a future professional athlete who has everything out in front of him.

But to hear Paul talk about Bronny James’ mentality is a very neat thing.

He is a humble player, who hasn’t earned anything yet.

All he is hoping for is an opportunity to play in the NBA.

The 19-year-old guard and former McDonald’s All-American only started six games at USC while averaging just 4.8 PPG and 36.6% from the field.

In the end, it is all about getting an opportunity.

If he gets drafted, look for the 6-2, 210-pound guard to be only himself and not his father in the league.
