Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo turned a lot of heads recently when the two-time NBA MVP admitted that his future in the NBA isn’t tied to the organization that he’s currently playing for and that he’d be open to going somewhere else if he’s not on the same page with his teammates in terms of championship mentality.
Obviously, this made a lot of headlines in the NBA, with teams around the league now potentially thinking about the possibility of Antetokounmpo being available in the near future.
At this point, the Bucks seem like a sinking ship, with Jrue Holiday already letting it be known that he intends to retire after his contract is done and Khris Middleton’s inability to stay healthy.
Antetokounmpo might be looking around in Milwaukee and thinking he may have one more year of contention, and that’s it, which means it’s time to start formulating an exit strategy like NBA players tend to do these days.
Richard Sherman of FOX Sports believes the Los Angeles Lakers should start looking into the possibility of trading for the one-time NBA champion and potentially using the recently re-signed Anthony Davis to do so, via “Undisputed” on Wednesday.

With Antetokounmpo putting the Bucks on notice, it will be interesting to see what the team does moving forward, as it may not be out of the realm of possibility that he is moved before the NBA trade deadline if the team struggles early next season.
Sherman suggesting the Lakers as a potential landing spot is plausible, but if Los Angeles is cruising heading into December and January, the team might be content, meaning the New York Knicks or another big-market team might try to swoop in.
