They may not be household names, but every true NFL fan knows that offensive linemen are the unsung heroes of the team, and the unsung heroes of the line that get the least amount of publicity are the guards.
Richie Incognito was one of the better guards of his generation for 15 seasons, and he recently named someone he believes is the best guard in the NFL right now.
Incognito appeared on Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby’s podcast The Rush and said the best guard in the NFL right now is still Zack Martin of the Dallas Cowboys when he is healthy while also giving credit to Chris Lindstrom of the Atlanta Falcons for being one of the best in the league, a take Crosby agreed with.

Incognito praised Lindstrom for his ability to run the outside zone and his ability to punch and lift when he pulls to the outside.
Martin is now 33 years old and played 15 games last season, and even though he gets knocked at times for some of his injury issues, Martin has only missed 11 games in his 10 years in the league.
He has been a consistent anchor for one of the league’s best offensive lines for a decade and is now a 9-time Pro Bowl selection and 7-time All-Pro, which is a collection of accolades that has him on a path straight to the Hall of Fame.
Lindstrom has been a second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in each of the last two seasons and now will be blocking for Kirk Cousins, who can hopefully lead the Falcons offense to new heights.
