There is a seemingly never-ending debate between sports fans about the best player of all time in a particular sport.
This is a touchy subject in any sport, especially basketball, as fans tend to have hot takes about their favorite players.
Some of the most common answers in this debate are LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and of course, Michael Jordan.
There might be another name emerging in the ranks, especially when it comes to younger fans and basketball players.
Take newly drafted Rob Dillingham, for example.
Dillingham, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ newest first-round pick, was quick to answer the question of his favorite player of all time, which was shared by Clutch Points on Twitter.
“It’s definitely [Kevin Durant]… Nobody’s 6’11” and can hoop like KD, so it’s just a different type of player when he gets straight buckets,” Dillingham said.

Durant seems to get a lot of respect and admiration from the younger generation, mainly because a prolific player when they were growing up.
He has one of the most significant followings of any active player still in the league, a following that isn’t likely to go anywhere soon.
Durant has Dilingham’s respect, and it will be interesting to see how these two match up against each other in the regular season.
Meeting your heroes can be a scary and difficult thing, but basketball players like Dillingham, need to quickly put aside their awe and wonder of other players, and focus more heavily on their games, hoping to get to that point.
