Rob Gronkowski was one of the most beloved NFL players during his time in the league.
When he retired the first time, fans begged him to return to the gridiron, which he eventually did, joining Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gronkowski announced his retirement for a second time after the 2021 NFL season.
Despite being retired for a year, many have asked about Gronkowski’s return, and if he is truly retired.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Gronkowski doubled down on this retirement, saying “I’m happily retired,” and “There’s no chance anymore.”

Gronkowski was recently spotted with Brady and several of his teammates from New England, spending time on the beach together.
He seems to be enjoying himself during retirement and doesn’t appear to be making a return to the gridiron.
Later in the interview, Gronkowski does highlight another athletic outlet that he has picked up in retirement.
Pickleball has quickly become the fastest-growing sport in the United States, and Gronkowski has joined the ranks as a former professional athlete that has picked up the game.
As Gronowski highlighted, “I’m still competing, I’m still winning, so I don’t even need to go back to football.”
While this might be bad news to many Gronkowski enthusiasts, retirement has been a positive time for him.
If he continues to hone his skills, Gronkowski might just work his way up the ranks in the pickleball community and showcase his skills at a national level.
