Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has a reputation for being a brilliant mastermind and a man of few words.

After parting ways with the Patriots months ago, he is unemployed as the new NFL season approaches, but many believe he will be back on the sidelines again, perhaps as early as the 2025 campaign.

For now, he will make the rounds on various media outlets, including “Manningcast,” the alternate broadcast of “Monday Night Football,” and he will appear every Monday on “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN.

Rob Gronkowski, Belichick’s star tight end on the Patriots from 2010 to 2018, told Ryen Russillo that while he’s not surprised Belichick will be in the media, he is surprised that he will be appearing in so many different places.

Belichick joined the Patriots as their head coach in 2000 after several years at the helm of the Cleveland Browns and three years as an assistant coach with the New York Jets.

He was supposed to succeed Parcells as the Jets’ head coach for the 2000 season, but he had a chance of heart, resulting in him heading to New England.

With legendary quarterback Tom Brady fortuitously taking over as the Patriots’ starter during the 2001 season, Belichick formed the most successful head coach-QB combo ever with Brady, and the two combined to win six Super Bowl championships.

Some like to poke at Belichick’s lack of success as a head coach without Brady, but he is no doubt a football savant and should help educate fans about the nuances of the pro game in the months to come.
