Once the 2023 NFL season gets underway in September, it will be the first time the league will start a season without Tom Brady as an active player in over two decades.
Shortly after the 2022 season came to an end, Brady decided to end the speculation before it got too ridiculous by sending out a short emotional video of him on the beach by himself that he had decided to retire from the game he loves.
With Brady no longer in the league, it has left some to reflect on the career of the seven-time Super Bowl champion and arguably the greatest player in the history of the league, including longtime friend and teammate Rob Gronkowski.
Although Gronkowski beat Brady to the punch by retiring a year earlier than the superstar quarterback, he had some interesting and hilarious things to say about his former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers partner in crime on “The Season” with Peter Schrager.
“Big brother. Friend. Mentor. He’s kinda like Daddy too. ‘Daddy, what do we do here on this play?’ He’s all of those and more.”— @RobGronkowski on @TomBrady

In the aftermath of Brady’s retirement, the Buccaneers have moved on with Baker Mayfield trying to fill the void in Tampa Bay, and the Patriots are still trying to figure things out with Mac Jones as Brady’s successor in New England.
Needless to say, the NFL will never be the same, and now the page has turned with everyone wondering who will be the next face of the league for the next decade or so, with Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs looking like the frontrunner for that gig, especially after winning his second Super Bowl title last year.
