LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history.

He’s won everywhere he’s gone, and once Kobe Bryant led the way to change the culture with the Redeem Team, he even started winning at the international level.

This is LeBron’s final dance with Team USA, so he clearly wants to leave on a high note by bringing home the gold.

Notably, it seems like he’s been a man on a mission to start USA Basketball training camp, as the players in attendance just voted him as the best player on the team.

Nonetheless, as impressive as that may sound for him, radio host Rob Parker is not impressed.

Talking on FOX Sports Radio, he stated that Team USA could forget about the gold medal if a soon-to-be 40-year-old who can only make the playoffs through the Play-In Tournament despite having Anthony Davis on his team was their best player.

@robparkerMLBbro: “If LeBron is the best player on Team USA, you can forget about a gold medal because that ain’t happening!”

@realshaunking: “Just from a mindset standpoint, what’s wrong with these young guys? This bothers me.” pic.twitter.com/02hdkctslg

Of course, context matters, so while he could be right to a degree, it’s not like James is the only one to blame for the Los Angeles Lakers’ constant shortcomings.

Truth be told, James has had a better career than everybody else on Team USA, with only Stephen Curry coming close to him.

He might not be the best player on the team today, but he’s had the best career.

Also, Team USA has more than enough resources and young players to take the pressure off his shoulders if things get hard in Paris.
